Human and envy

Have you noticed before that your newsfeeds on your so-called social media like facebook and such were all filled with competitions? People just bragging about how important their lives are, each and every day, makes you sick inside. The peculiar thing is, you can't really cut loose from those media, since you're already ingested, intoxicated, and become addicted severely to them. On behalf of yourself you began to pay them back by bragging back 'bout yourself. At first you'd feel content, but after a while you tend to realize how rubbish you are, and how rubbish the people you know are. You started to questioning yourself, "what the hell am i doing here???" but still you lingered there. I dunno until when, but never felt this empty before. No one really cared, they don't even remembered your birthday anymore. I'm not putting mine on reminder this year, perhaps some people would actually still care. (yeah...) And, from time to time, I began to wonder ...

To Travel means to Suffer

I once read on one of my transport studies literature that 'to travel' means 'to suffer'. That's why some of the experts on this field said that travel is a derived demand, you don't travel for the sake of the travel itself, which means it is something you do in order to get to another accomplishment at the end of the journey. Well, the statement is debatable (even until now they're still arguing about this), whether travel itself could be by its own sake or not. But as for sightseeing, maybe the nature of travel as a derived demand can be partly true and partly not. Since being a tourist means you enjoy every single journey you take, then you must say that it's obviously not derived. Nevertheless, there are still times when you feel lost between one spot to another, that you don't actually get why are you there. That's when the derived demand theory works. You can't simply said that you 'enjoyed' every single part of your journey. Th...

Neo-tribalism, a post-modern issue?

How awkward is it to find yourselves in peer pressure? As if no one would actually engaged a connection with you unless you are literally turned out into their kind? It would be harder on your juvenile years, but trust me, it repeats over time. I did suffer on my junior hi times, and I curse those w***es who attacked me deliberately, but at least it's in the past. But what remarkably happen now is that actually post-juvenile things like this DID re-occur, somehow. How is it possible to keep up with the pace of the early 20s while you're on your late 20s, don't have loaded folks to dig in, a status-quo relationship (as usual, men. doh) and already pinned down to a steady job at your home country? Somewhat, the whole idea of mingling with imbeciles ridicules you and makes you a castaway. So, what's with "the-early-20s-thoughts" about? 2-5 years differences made you an 'ol' hag' to 'em? Some even called me "ma'am" or so. Well, at w...

Flowery sky on bonfire nite at Roundhay Park, Leeds... (night before November 5th. 2011) always a big fan of fireworks!

untuk mama

lagi-lagi saya kesel sendiri. kenapa para emak tega ninggalin anak-anak mereka tapi tetep berkeras mengatakan mereka "kangen"? Apakah sekarang seoran...

To The City of My Dreams

The week before last week is the best week of my life! I went to Liverpool--the so-called city of the Beatles, my favorite band ever! I went there on a trip by one of the campus' club... Didn't work out as I imagined it would be, but doesn't matter... It's Liverpool!!! Wow! this is history, me in Liverpool. Never thought it would happen (well, I kept on repeating to myself that someday I'll defintely go there...and there I was!). The city was big, bigger than Leeds obviously, and colder too--since it's located by the ocean. The wind was so strong, I can't help myself from chilling. Luckily, the weather was perfect that day, so I have no time for regrets! We went to The Albert Dock, where The Beatles Story , the museum of The Beatles is located. My heart thumped real hard as I approach this building. This is definitely one of that moments in your life, when you actually thinking that dreams DO come true! It was so amazing! I am lucky God gave me the chance to...

Autumn has comin' to town!

My very first autumn! Never felt four-season before...and here I am experiencing it for the very first time! and I'm about 12,000 km away from home... Really miss home. But it's not that long, only a year, and maybe someday i'll be missing this place and (maybe) the people... and this is actually what i've been dreaming of since I was a child. I even can say, this is my dream-land. (But sometimes dreams weren't as REAL as reality). And perhaps the place I cursed now would be the place that I'll definitely called "paradise" (?) in imperfect world of mine. atleast my dream just came true! i was in liverpool! finally!! And I just knew that they have this winter time period (as British Summer Time ends) on October 30, they set back the time one hour. Not only the British set the point zero of the world's time, they also can set back time! Amazing. So, each year on October 30 they have 25 hours on a day... but on latter time on March, as the BST star...
