You know you wanted to be with him. Look into his eyes As eyes are the window to the soul. You'll know you love someone and someone loves you back when you see the reflection in his eyes. You can't really lie about loving someone, at some point every lies will be revealed. You can't force your love, you don't ask to be loved. It really doesn't matter how the world see your lover, in your eyes they'll always be perfect.
