#10: Bestfriend

Day 10 of 30 days writing challenge.

Bestfriend

Friends come and go, but best of friends stay with you 'till the end.

Rarely did I get myself a longlasting friendship. Was it really me and my trust issues? Or was it because people keep on changing? I felt as if I'm still the same old me--though i'm way past my times of looking for friends, yet it's still a delightful thing (to have a real friend).

But what is a real friend do? Should he/she always stays by our side and always listens to whatever trash or antics we're saying? I know, I'm not a perfect friend. I sometimes detach from people, because I have so many different issues with different people (hey, aren't we all do? lol). Thus, it will be tough for you to befriend with an aloof person like me if you are a clingy person. I'm not really a caring type, so I won't be begging around for friendship, not that I reject it too tho'.

Once I put my trust--or friendship in that matter--it already means that you are indeed special. As I said repeatedly, I have my trust issues because so many people deemed to be untrue.

Bittersweet of Friendship

I used to have a really best friend during my elementary school days. She even had a similar name as mine. We're really attached to each other, we did all sort things together. It's like she was my shadow. We went to junior high together. Up until second grade (class 8) when we got separated by our homeroom teacher, saying that we're too close to each other (no, it's nothing like yuri stuff, we're just plain old besties) and we have to befriend with other people too. We drifted apart after that. For good. That teacher paired me (we used to have a sitting buddies in class, you know, like a chairmate) with one of my bully. Still remember her name, and her face. Actually I was really sad, because second grade was like my hellish time in junior high. I got bullied a lot.

If you want to know what my junior high was like? It was a private school with loads of rich kids. Me? no, we're not rich, but my parents worked too hard on giving us the best school (it is now debatable actually, I suffered a lot having to be on that bloody school). I got accepted there for free (no submission money, it's almost like some kind of scholarship) and have to deal with extreme culture shock. Some of my school friends drove their own fancy car (yes, junior high filthy rich kids on the 90s, with cars--some with chauffer) and have extravagant lives. Me? I'm a plain ol' nerd, minding my own business.

Well, back to bullying, my parents never knew that some of those snobby brats were really psychos, nor that they cared. I was a straight A student, and that's what really matters to them after all. I got bullied almost everyday, and they even pushed me around in the ladies room and threw water at me. Everything was hell just because they thought I was snitching at them (while they're dating, smoking, etc.) to teachers, because I went a lot to counseling room. Like a lot. Fact is, I went there to collect my retained manga from the counselor's locker. I made her familiar with me so she won't be suspicious when I went there and snuck in to get my stuff. Apparently those evil banshees got me wrong. They didn't know how I'd care less who dated who. And the most idiotic thing was, the "spy" was their own friend. So stupid. I know because I was always there at that room, and the snitch was her. And she was always with them, and they don't even got suspicious. Talking about how stupid can one be. Lol.

Anyway, it's already 11 o'clock, and it's a tiring day. Maybe at some point I'll brought up more things about besties, but I'll have this story from the past for day 10. Bear with me, it's 20 more days to go.

How to Ghibli?

That time of the year, again. Why can't life be more like Ghibli's aesthetics? It has been a while for me to be in my 30s, and soon I will be turning 40. What will one expect when one turns into a 40-year-old woman?  Why can't life be like Ghibli's slice of life feature films? Why can't we find ideal love like in those movies? 3 years ago today I still can't imagine that I finally found out that my (back then) spouse was a serial cheater, a swinger, and an avid liar. My whole life was crumbled, and my mind went crazy, like literally mad (will tell this someday when I'm ready). And briefly after that, I met a random guy, got married again in such a short time, and have a baby not long after. Back then, no one really cares about how I feel inside, my messed up mind is still there up until now. So, what to do? #9: Happiness

Day 9 of 30 days writing challenge. Happiness I am everything but happy right now, I'm sorry. Not really in the mood to talk about happiness so today we'll be off topic. Not happy now. Just heard a heartbreaking news about work-related stuff, and the feel of rejection is similar with the one that I felt during my apprenticeship year, when I heard that my Studio Coordinator gave me an E so I have to do another year again (8 hours credits do it another year, he hated me gut and my window shape , so yeah I'm screwed). Always thought that drawing buildings isn't my thing, but I stuck there nonetheless. Come to think of it, my undergrad years were full of sh*t and sadness, there's always this lecturer that hated your design. And you felt like crap). I cried back then, on the rooftop of RRI building where my project management took place. I'm not always bright, I've been through hell. And it's not sweet. Anyways, I'm not unfamiliar with this kind of f...

#4: Places on My List

Day 4 of  30 days writing challenge. Places on My List Been obsessed with these places, and wished the pandemic soon to be over so that we can go there and enjoy life and love to the fullest. Cambodia I don't know why, been dreaming on going to Siem Reap  for about two years now. The thoughts of going there seemed exquisitely charming and the old temples--although some said similar to what we have in Jogja --look mysterious.  Ancient stone faces of Bayon temple, Angkor, Cambodia.  Photo: iStock (https://www.traveller.com.au/siem-reap-cambodia-things-to-do-expert-tips-from-an-expat-h1ju19) Maybe i'm a bit influenced by Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones , always love those kinds of movies (and games). I remember when I was a child, there's this TV show about treasure-hunt and stuff (I forgot the title, sorry) where the main character flew a seaplane in a tropical island looking for treasures, some in ancient ruins. I also preoccupied by One Piece , a superb manga created ...
