The Lost Bladesman



Beberapa waktu yang lalu saya menonton film The Lost Bladesman (coba lihat di http://www.sinema-21.com/movie-the-lost-bladesman-2011/), salah satu film (lagi) yang berlatar Jaman Tiga Kerajaan (Samkok / The Romance of Three Kingdoms) di Cina. Film ini menampilkan dilema Guan Yu antara tetap dengan Tsao Tsao/Cao Cao atau kembali kepada Liu Bei.



Entah kenapa film ini beda karena menampilkan sifat Cao Cao yang terkesan wise dan sederhana (ada adegan macul-macul segala...@___@), imej yang sangat berbeda dari yang terpapar dalam Red Cliff dan Red Cliff II ataupun di cerita manga Legenda Naga yang menampilkan sebaliknya,Cao Cao yang ambisius, extravagant, dan berangasan ^o^;. Meski film ini di-rating jelek oleh banyak pihak, (5.8 / 10 di imdB misalnya), serta tidak begitu laku di pasaran--mungkin karena sulit dicerna dan membosankan bagi siapa-siapa yang tidak familiar dengan setting ceritanya (samkok), namun bagi saya cukup memberi pencerahan, karena dapat melihat kisah ini dari sudut pandang yang lain, dan sangat memfokuskan pada Guan Yu (hal yang jarang, karena biasanya kisah berputar di sekitar Liu Bei atau Cao Cao).

Aktor pemeran Guan Yu, Donnie Yen, wajahnya terkesan familiar. Setelah saya ingat2, ternyata dulu ada film seri yang dibintangi dia yang diputar di RCTI, Fist of Fury dengan jagoan utamanya bernama Chen Zhen (dulu saya dengernya Chen-Chen :p). Ada yang masih ingat? Ternyata ada sequelnya (?) Legend of the Fist yang sepertinya baru. (saya belum pernah nonton.)

#9: Happiness

  Day 9 of 30 days writing challenge. Happiness I am everything but happy right now, I'm sorry. Not really in the mood to talk about happiness so today we'll be off topic. Not happy now. Just heard a heartbreaking news about work-related stuff, and the feel of rejection is similar with the one that I felt during my apprenticeship year, when I heard that my Studio Coordinator gave me an E so I have to do another year again (8 hours credits do it another year, he hated me gut and my window shape , so yeah I'm screwed). Always thought that drawing buildings isn't my thing, but I stuck there nonetheless. Come to think of it, my undergrad years were full of sh*t and sadness, there's always this lecturer that hated your design. And you felt like crap). I cried back then, on the rooftop of RRI building where my project management took place. I'm not always bright, I've been through hell. And it's not sweet. #4: Places on My List

Day 4 of  30 days writing challenge. Places on My List Been obsessed with these places, and wished the pandemic soon to be over so that we can go there and enjoy life and love to the fullest. Cambodia I don't know why, been dreaming on going to Siem Reap  for about two years now.
